Three Rayo Vallecano fans were hospitalized after an attack against two buses carrying fans of the Madrid club to a Conference League game in Poland this Thursday, local police reported.

According to the police version, the two buses with Spanish fans were blocked by two passenger cars on an expressway near Ostrów Mazowieckain the east of the country, in the early hours of Thursday.

Then, “about fifty people, some of them masked, emerged from the nearby forest. A confrontation occurred“, indicated the police of the Mazovia region in X, which highlighted that the quick police action prevented greater evils.

At the scene, emergency medical services treated the injured and three of them “were taken to the hospital,” the same source indicated. without specifying the severity of the injuries.

According to Polish media, the buses were transporting Rayo Vallecano fans, who were heading to Bialystok (east) to attend the match that must be played on Thursday night against the Jagiellonia of the 5th day of the first phase of the Conference League (third European football club competition).

The police also reported the arrest of seven people for his participation in the attack. In the operation, the agents seized, among other objects, “balaclavas, extendable batons, wooden sticks and metal shears.”
